pelzGROUP receives EcoVadis Gold Ranking for outstanding sustainability performance

The Wahlstedt-based pelzGROUP has once again proven its position as a pioneer in sustainability: In December 2024, the company was awarded the EcoVadis Gold Ranking. This puts the manufacturer of high-quality hygiene products, household films and nonwovens in the top 5 percent of companies rated worldwide on the leading sustainability platform EcoVadis.

This result marks an important milestone for pelzGROUP, which was certified with the silver medal for the first time at the beginning of 2024. “Receiving the EcoVadis Gold Medal is a major achievement and a strong validation of our consistent sustainability strategy.” explains CEO Dr. Nikolas Bastian. “As a family business and the largest employer in Wahlstedt, we have a special responsibility. “Sustainability is not merely a goal, but an integral part of who we are…” – whether as a company, employer or in our collaboration with our customers and partners.”

EcoVadis: benchmark for global sustainability standards

The EcoVadis assessment covers four central categories: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. An international team of experts analyzes the company data and prepares well-founded, comparable valuations on this basis. pelzGROUP has improved significantly in these categories and demonstrated its progress in all areas.
